Xero is a cloud-based accounting software designed for small business and provides you with the online tools to manage your everyday business needs.

You can apply directly with Xero or you can work with BLP who will manage the onboarding process. To start using Kina Xero Bank Feed you will need to be an existing Kina Bank customer with online banking access.

What are Bank Feeds?
A bank feed is a digital link between your bank and accounting software, automatically importing bank transactions into your accounting software on a daily basis. With Xero Bank Feeds, you will be able to import your Kina Bank account transactions securely into Xero daily.
How do I setup Xero Bank Feeds for my Kina Bank account(s)?

You must be an existing Online Banking user, using Xero Accounting Software and also have your current Xero login details.

To enable Bank Feed for your account(s);

  • Log in at the Kina Bank website using your online banking access.
  • Go to Settings and select the Smart Connect option.

For customers using Corporate Online Banking;

  • Corporate Administrators will initiate the Smart Connect option under the Administration menu.

Is there a fee charged by Kina Bank when using Xero Bank Feed?

This feature comes with no fees. It is a value-add service offered by Kina Bank to its online banking customers.

I do not use Xero accounting software; how do I register for Xero?
To get started, you can work with our partners at BLP and they will assist with the set up and onboarding process for Xero and as a special introductory offer you will receive a 50% discount off your Xero monthly Subscription fees for the first 6 months. Click here to contact BLP.

You can also sign up direct with Xero, the choice is yours.

How far back can I go back in Xero Bank feeds for Kina Bank account(s)?

Six months from the current date.

I manage multiple organisations in Xero, may I use the same Xero credentials on Digital Retail & Corporate Banking to connect bank feeds for different organisations?
Not at this stage. It is a one-to-one connection, meaning one Xero login to one Digital Retail and Corporate Banking account(s) access.
Can we use another Accounting Software?
No, at this stage Xero is the only Accounting Software collaborating with KINA Bank for Bank Feeds.
Who is Business Link Pacific?
Business Link Pacific connects small and medium sized businesses in the Pacific to local advisory services and is a private sector development program funded by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade located in New Zealand.
If I register via BLP will I receive a discount?

Yes you will, if you sign up directly with BLP you will receive 25% off the normal monthly subscription fee for Xero Global version Business Edition and Partner Edition for the first 12 months only.

If I purchase Xero through BLP am I eligible for any other benefits?

Yes, there are other benefits that you will be eligible to receive. You will be eligible in most cases, for up to a 50% discount on costs associated with engaging with a BLP business and service provider. This includes dealing with a qualified and certified BLP/Xero chartered accountant or certified practicing accountant for any Xero related work that may be required or undertaken. Additionally, you will also receive a free and no obligation review of your overall business operations by a BLP Business Service Manager.
