No EFTPOS Fees

This is normally where most Visa Debit Cards really get you with fees on every EFTPOS transaction you make. It can add up pretty quickly. But we’ve removed EFTPOS fees on all local transactions.

No Monthly Account Fees

While other Visa Debit Cards in PNG charge a monthly account fee, we’ve taken out these fees to save you money.

More Account Options

When you get your Kina Debit Card, it is linked to a transaction account. But you also have the opportunity to then open our Kina Tomorrow Savings Account. This means you can have control of your day-to-day spending, but also a dedicated savings account where your money grows with you!

Global Access Day And Night

With your Kina Debit Card, you have access to a global network 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

What About Other Fees?

Good question. Consistent with similar accounts, there still are some charges associated with the Kina Debit Card, but we’ve worked to remove as many as we can.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Kina Debit Card?

With a Kina Debit Card, you can shop anytime, anywhere using your linked bank account. Kina Debit Cards allow you “tap to pay” on EFTPOS machines both in PNG and overseas, as well as make online purchases and even withdraw money from any ATM where Visa Cards are accepted. The card is linked to a Kina Bank transaction account, meaning when you’re making purchases and spending your own money, so there is no credit involved. It just “debits” your account automatically. With a Kina Debit Card, you have access to over 2.2 million ATMs worldwide – the card has global acceptance and allows you to make secure online purchases with the Visa fraud protection.

Do I need to notify the bank before I travel overseas?

No. The Kina Debit Card is not issued with a cheque book. However, if you have our Kina Everyday Account and your Kina Debit Card is linked to it, you can request a cheque book. We’re unable to issue a cheque book for any other personal accounts.

We offer the choice of three different Kina Debit Cards and our team will be on hand to advice the card best suited to your needs.
