Kina Bank launched its second Digital Banking Hub in Port Moresby on Wednesday 22nd May, 2024.
The new Hub is located at the Boroko Post Office and will serve Kina customers living around Boroko, Korobosea, Taurama, 5 Mile, China Town and Manu Autoport.
Kina Bank PNG CEO Roppe Uyassi said the digital banking hub is cashless and will provide a range of services such as opening of Kina Bank accounts, issuing of visa debit cards, WhatsApp banking and internet banking registrations, attend to customer enquiries, and conduct education and awareness of Kina Bank products & services.
“Our customers will also be able to apply for personal loans directly from the Digital Banking Hub,” Mr Uyaasi said.
While thanking Post PNG for its partnership, he also announced the bank plans to open more Kina Digital Banking Hubs in Port Moresby and also in Lae to bring banking closer to Kina customers.
Post PNG Chief Financial Officer Zuke Kot while thanking Kina Bank for its partnership, said the new Digital hub inside Boroko Post Office will provide convenience, security and better customer experience providing a ‘one stop shop’ for customers to have access to both Kina bank and Post PNG’s services.
“Over the years Kina Bank have been one of Post PNG’s big property leasing clients for the office space leased in Kokopo and Kimbe to run its banking operations,” Mr Kot said.
“The launch of the Digital Banking Hub paves a new milestone and will benefit Kina Bank customers through easy access to cashless banking services, faster processing time and better customer experience. In addition, it will also create an opportunity for customers to have access to our services such as airline ticketing, Western Union, Salim money Kwik (Domestic Money Remittance Service), courier service and other services we offer. Through our complementary service offering, this will mutually benefit both Kina Bank and Post PNG by driving foot traffic for customers and open up doors for selling our services and products to our customers.”
Mr Kot said on behalf of Post PNG’s CEO, Justin Worinu and the Management and Staff of Post PNG, “we thank Kina Bank for having confidence in Post PNG and we look forward to harnessing strong business partnership into the future”.
