Kina Bank values the contributions of its staff to the organization’s success and truly believes in its slogan, “Together It’s Possible.”

At a recent Townhall event in Port Moresby, six long-serving staff members were honoured for their dedication, with service ranging from 15 to 30 years. The entire Kina Bank team from Port Moresby and regional branches attended the event.

Hahui Fairi, Kina Bank’s longest-serving staff member was recognized for her 30 years of dedicated service. Hahui began her career with Maybank in 1994 and continued with Kina Bank after it acquired Maybank in 2015. Reflecting on her journey, she described it as incredible and extraordinary, progressing from a Teller at Maybank to Senior Manager of Banking Operations at Kina Bank. She attributed her achievements to the support of her family and employers, saying, “I achieved so much with a great support system of my family and my employer over the years. I have worked with so many talented individuals who contributed to my success.”

Hahui encouraged new starters in the organization to seize every opportunity and make every moment count by utilizing their abilities and knowledge. “Work hard, give your best and stay focused,” she concluded.

Other staff members recognized for their long service include Ivi Lausi and Cherlyn Wong, each with 25 years of service; Tony Vagi with 20 years; and John Jethro and Bridgit Ricky, each with 15 years.

Kina Bank CEO and Managing Director Greg Pawson commended the contributions of these dedicated team members saying, “Your commitment and hard work over the years have been instrumental in shaping our success. Each of you has contributed uniquely to our journey, and your loyalty is truly commendable. As we look to the future, I am confident that with such a talented and committed team, we will continue to achieve great things together.”
