We’re excited to announce another first as PNG’s leading digital bank; the new E-Lands Kiosk. This digital portal system will improve land management services and payments, via 32-inch kiosks designed by NiuPay that utilise our IPG and EFTPOS to process fees payments. Kina Bank’s Country CEO, Roppe Uyassi, recently joined with the Honourable Deputy Prime Minister, John Rosso, and James Inglis the founder of NiuPay for the launch.
The concept is currently being trialled in Port Moresby with the intention of rolling out to other centres throughout the country.
The Acting Prime Minister and Lands Minister has praised the kiosks for their ability to reduce queues for people intending to access land services or to pay fees. As well as this, the ease of digital payments poses the potential to improve revenue collection, enabling the government to contribute meaningfully to the country’s consolidated funds, which will then go back into providing basic services across PNG.
“It is an inclusive system, meaning anyone can access it, from individuals to corporate clients anytime, anywhere,” Rosso said.
“This will also ensure all transactions are done transparently and, most importantly, there will be an electronic record of every transaction and land title.”
As normal, small transaction fees apply for every transaction processed via the new E-Lands Kiosk.
