I want to open an account with Kina Bank, how do I do it?
To open a new bank account you will need to visit your local Kina Bank branch and complete a personal application form and complete the Kina Bank ID checklist.
As part of the ID checklist you will need to have 2 forms of valid Primary ID. Examples of ID are: Passport, Student ID, Work ID with employer letter, Work Permit with department of labour letter, Driver’s Licence, NID Card, Superannuation Card. If you don’t have these please arrange to call us on 675 308 3800 or on Toll Free 180 1525 and we can work out what Secondary ID you may have.
You will need to work out what type of account you want to open as well, whether it is a savings account or transactional account. If you need more assistance, please let us know!
I don’t live near a Kina Bank branch; can I apply online?
You can start the process of applying online and enter in all your contact details and personal information which is automatically send to our contact centre. Once they’ve e received it you will get an automated email, as part of the ID confirmation phase you still will need to visit a branch. I’m an existing Kina Bank customer, am I able to get a Visa Card?
Yes, as an existing customer you’re welcome to apply for either our Kina Visa Debit Card or Kina Visa Credit Card. You will need to complete an account application form and you will still be subject to Kina Bank’s normal application process.
I am considering taking out a home loan, do you have a home loan calculator?

How do I sign up for Kina Online Banking?
To sign up for Internet Banking you will need to visit your local branch and speak with our team, they will assist you in getting everything set up so you can start banking and managing your accounts online.
How do I sign up for Kina Konnect mobile banking?
It’s really easy to sign up for Kina Konnect, you need to be an existing customer and have access to a mobile phone that has been linked to your account. Then all you need to do is dial *525# and follow the prompts. If you get stuck, you can call us on 308 3800 or on toll free 180 1525 and our team will assist. We also have an online user guide which can be used to step through the process.
Does Kina Bank charge customers to use digital services?
When using our digital products there are some fees relating to statement requests and transfers. To access the full list of charges please refer to our Fees and Charges schedule.
How long does it take for my online transfers to be processed?
A transfer to another banking provider in PNG should appear in the nominated account within 3 hours if the transfer is made within business hours. If the transfer is made outside of normal business hours the funds will not clear until the next business day.
Any transfers made over the weekend or on a public holiday won’t appear until the next business day.
When you’re transferring from a Kina Bank account to a Kina Bank account the transfer is immediate.

How do I open a Kina Bank business account?
To open a new business bank account you will need to visit your local Kina Bank branch and complete a personal application form and complete the Kina Bank ID checklist.

What business accounts does Kina Bank offer?
We offer three different accounts, and these are the Kina Cheque Account, the Kina Cash Management Account and the Kina Fixed Deposit Account.
The Kina Cheque account acts as a daily transactional account whereas the other two accounts provide you with an interest rate to help grow your business funds.
