Education remains one of the most powerful tools for transforming lives and strengthening communities. Recognising this, Kina Bank has renewed its support for the Kokoda Track Foundation’s two flagship programs – the Archer Leaders Program and the Motu Koita FODE Program by extending its support for a further 3 years.

From 2026 to 2028, Kina Bank will support both programs with a total funding support of over PGK1.1 million, reinforcing a partnership that has helped hundreds of Papua New Guineans build leadership skills and complete their high school and secondary education. The renewed commitment was announced during a visit by CEO and Managing Director Ivan Vidovich and Chief of Staff Mackhenly Kaiok to the KTF FODE Centre at the Hanuabada Village in Port Moresby.

During the visit to the Centre Mr Vidovich, met with students, educators and KTF representatives before formally presenting the donation.

Speaking during the visit, Mr Vidovich said “We believe education changes lives. Through our partnership with KTF, we are helping create opportunities for many young Pap Guineans to learn, grow and reach their full potential.”

Building on its longstanding partnership with the KTF, Kina Bank has supported the Archer Leadership Development Program over the years, including mentoring two Archer Leaders each year through its senior leadership team. Since the establishment of the Motu Koita FODE Centre in 2020, Kina Bank’s support has also helped create more than 1,000 enrolments, with female students accounting for over half of the enrolments, providing a vital second-chance education pathway for Grades 9-12 students to pursue further study, employment and personal development.

KTF Chief Executive Officer Dr Genevieve Nelson welcomed the continued support saying, “Kina Bank’s continued support is helping more young Papua New Guineans access the education they deserve.”

Kina Bank’s continued support reflects the organisation’s commitment to giving back to communities and creating meaningful social impact through education, leadership development and community partnerships.
