Kina Bank has continued its support for young women in Papua New Guinea with a K50,000 contribution to RISE PNG, helping expand opportunities for students to build confidence, skills and financial independence.
The cheque was presented on Saturday 13 June at the Gateway Hotel by Kina Bank Executive General Manager, People and Culture, Ann Steele, on behalf of the Bank.
RISE PNG is a youth mentoring and empowerment initiative that supports young women through financial literacy, entrepreneurship, leadership development and career exposure. The program focuses on practical learning, giving students the opportunity to build real life skills and better understand how to manage money and plan for their future.
Through workshops and mentorship, participants are encouraged to apply what they learn in meaningful ways, including small business activities that strengthen their confidence and decision making.
Reflecting on the support, Ms Steele said initiatives like RISE PNG create real and lasting value for young people.
“What stands out about RISE PNG is the way it turns learning into action. It gives young women the confidence to make decisions, take ownership of their ideas and start building something for themselves.”
Kina Bank continues to support initiatives that contribute to stronger and more inclusive communities, particularly those that improve access to education and financial capability.
This contribution will help RISE PNG continue providing a platform where young women can grow, gain practical knowledge and step forward with confidence.
