Kina Securities main Stock index, the KSi, was weaker on Tuesday after losing 2.24 points (-0.04%) to 5,451.87 points. However, the Home index, or the KSHi, remained unmoved at 11,015.88 points.
Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was the only stock traded today at K17.84 down by a toea .The stock traded a total volume of 511 units valued at K9,116.24.
In overnight markets, The Dow Jones Industrial Average reached a record high on Monday, with banks and retailers surging and technology companies falling as investors realigned their portfolios in hopes of benefiting from expected corporate tax cuts. The DJIA rose 58.46 points or 0.24% at 24,290.05 points. A global decline in technology stocks continued Tuesday in Asia, weighing on indexes in Japan. The Japanese Nikkei share average dropped on 71.85 points or 032% 22,635.31 points Tuesday. The Australian benchmark S&P/ASX 200 Index is down 13.80 points or 0.23% to 5,971.80 points after miner dragged down.
