KSi Daily Report: Wednesday, 27 September 2017

Wednesday’s POMSOX trading session saw both stock indices closing on the green. The Kina Securities main index KSi was up 3.30 points or 0.06% to 5,219.27 points and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi surged 98.51 points or 0.90% to finish higher at 11,103.33 points.
Banking and financial stock Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the winning stock for the day. The stock closed a toea higher to end at K9.60.
Other stocks however closed unchanged included Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) and Oil Search Ltd (OSH) which ended at K1.78 and K17.15 flat respectively.
A volume of 38,508 shares were traded today valued K382,397.46.
U.S markets finished with modest gains as investors jumped on tech shares following declines in the prior session as the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 3.00 points or 0.01% finishing at 22,262.00 points. Japanese stocks fell to more than one-week lows as ex-dividend share price adjustments dented high yielders. The Nikkei share average dropped 59.22 points or 0.3% to 20,270.97 points. The Australian stock market declined following boosted expectations of an interest rate hike as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index slipped 12.70 points or 0.22% to 5,658.70 points.
