KSi Daily Report: Wednesday, 26 July 2017
One stock index declined amid light trading on Wednesday’s POMSOX trading session. The Kina Securities main index KSi was down 1.08 points or 0.02% to 4,989.65 points. Meanwhile, the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was steady at 11,156.28 points.
Oil Search Ltd (OSH) slipped by a toea to close lower at K17.00.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was unchanged at K9.60 at the close.
A total of 25,351 shares were traded at a volume of K270,142.80.
U.S stocks finished at records following better than expected earnings results as the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 2.00 points or 0.01% to close at 21,562.00 points. Japanese stocks rose as solid gains on Wall Street lifted sentiment as the Nikkei share average was up 0.5% at 20,048.62 points. The Australian market rose extending gains from the previous session following positive cues and higher commodity prices. The S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index added 53.70 points or 0.94% to 5,780.30 points.
