KSi Daily Report: Wednesday, 13 September 2017
POMSOX trading session remained quiet as both stock indices were maintained on Wednesday. The Kina Securities main index KSi was steady at 5,199.86 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was unmoved at 11,005.80 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was unchanged at K9.80, transacting a thin volume of 1,508 units worth K14,778.40.
In other news, all three major U.S stock indexes booked all-time closing highs though gains were capped by unsteady trade in technology. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 61.49 points or 0.3% to finish at 22,118.86 points. Japanese stocks rose for a third day to hit a fresh one-month as the Nikkei share average gained 0.5% to 19,867.72 points, the highest level since Aug 9. The Australian stock market extended its winning streak to a third day following higher commodity prices. Banks and mining stocks were among the leading gainers as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index rose 27.00 points or 0.47% to 5,773.40 points.
