KSi Daily Report: Wednesday, 12 April 2017
Both stock indices ended on the green on Wednesday’s POMSOX trading session. The Kina Securities main index KSi was up 1.85 points or 0.04% to 4,979.79 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi gained 58.71 points or 0.53% to 11,050.75 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) attributed to the positive movement, edging higher by 40toea to close at K9.45.
Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) was the only other stock unmoved at K1.85 at the close.
A thin tradable volume of 3,840 shares were transacted valued at K28,498.00.
U.S stocks finished slightly lower as geopolitical tensions escalate with the Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 11.00 points or 0.05% at 20,582.00 points. Japanese stocks fell to their lowest in more than four months as rising geopolitical tensions curbed risk appetite. The Nikkei share average dropped 1.04% or 195.26 points to 18,552.61 points. The Australian stock market was flat in choppy trade following the modest losses overnight on Wall Street with gains in banking stocks and gold miners. S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index added 2.30 points or 0.04% to 5,931.60 points.
