KSi Daily Report: Wednesday, 05 April 2017
Wednesday’s POMSOX trading session saw both stock indices closing on the red. The Kina Securities main index KSi declined 31.42 points or 0.57% to 5,444.58 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index slipped 98.50 points or 0.88% at 11,068.13 points.
Both stocks traded today edged lower with nil gains recorded.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) shed 10toea, closing lower at K9.40. Followed closely by Oil Search Ltd (OSH), which declined by 28toea to end at K17.55.
A total volume of 43,008 shares were registered at a monetary value of K420,624.10.
U.S stocks closed slightly higher as investors exercised caution ahead of meeting between Trump and China’s president and Friday’s jobs report. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 39.03 points or 0.2% at 20,689.24 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average gained as the yen rally paused, with investors cautious ahead of an upcoming U.S-China summit limited the gains. The Nikkei rose 51.02 points or 0.27% at 18,861.27 points. The Australian stock market advanced following the modest gains overnight as well as higher commodity prices with the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index adding 16.20 pints or 0.28% to 5,872.80 points.
