KSi Daily Report: Tuesday, 24 January 2017

Tuesday’s POMSOX trading session was unchanged as both stock indices remained. The Kina Securities main index KSi was maintained at 4,764.35 points and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was steady at 10,628.45 points.
Stocks traded unchanged were financial stocks Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) ended flat at K9.00 and K1.88 respectively. Junior cap miner Highlands Pacific Ltd (HIG) was evened out at 19toea.
Total shares traded were 32,541 shares at a monetary value of K178,530.84.
U.S stocks closed down but off session lows of the day as investors wrestled uncertainty over the policies of Trump as the Dow Jones Industrial average closed down27.40 points or 0.1% at 19,799.85 points. Japanese stocks fell after the dollar weakened to a seven-week low against the yen overnight as the Nikkei share average dropped 0.24% or 45.48 points 18,845.55 points. The Australian stock market advanced on Tuesday despite the weak cues from Wall Street as higher commodity prices lifted resources stocks. The S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index added 27.40 points or 0.49% to 5,638.40 points.
