KSi Daily Report: Tuesday, 21 February 2017
Tuesday’s POMSOX trading session closed on the red as both Kina Securities stock indices edged lower. The Kina Securities main index fell 0.23 points to close at 4,818.05 points and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi slipped 39.40 points or 0.37% to close at 10,684.94 points.
Dual-energy stock Oil Search Ltd (OSH) added a toea to close at K17.51.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) shed 4toea to end at K9.01.
The day’s trading recorded a thin trading volume of 3,718 shares worth K58,223.05.
U.S stocks picked up on new records as investors prepared for key data and results from retailers from the week as the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 31 points or 0.2% to 20,619 points. Japanese stocks edged up as the yen eased back as the Nikkei share average gained 130.36 points or 0.68% close at 19,381.44 points. The Australian stock market was modestly lower in the absence of fresh cues from Wall Street as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index lost 8.20 points or 5,786.90 points
