KSi Daily Report: Tuesday, 20 June 2017
Both stock indices were unchanged amid a thin trading session during Tuesday’s POMSOX trading session. The Kina Securities main index KSi was steady at 4,881.16 points and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was unmoved at 11,057.97 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock traded today closing flat at K9.51. The stock transacted 1,783 shares valued at K16,956.33.
In other markets, U.S stocks rose in overnight trading reaching new records as technology companies rebounded from their previous sharp falls. The Dow Jones Industrial rose 144.71 points or 0.68% at 21,528.99 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average probed its highest levels in nearly two years powered by record highs on Wall Street and a weaker yen as the Nikkei gained 196.65 points or 0.98% to 20,264.40 points. The Australian stock market was modestly lower despite positive cues from Wall Street as weak commodity prices including crude oil, weighed on resource stocks. S&P/ASX 200 fell 7.50 points or 0.13% to 5,773.90 points.
