KSi Daily Report: Tuesday, 19 September 2017

POMSOX stocks Tuesday gained grounds amid an active trading session. The Kina Securities main stock index or KSI advanced 1.08 points or 0.02% 5,200.94 points. Meanwhile, the Home index, KSHi was even at 11,005.80 points.
There were four stocks traded among one that gained compared to none that fell.
The dual-listed mining stock Oil Search Ltd (OSH), contributed to the positive movement in the KSi. The stock closed at K17.01, up a toea.
Other stocks traded included financials Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Kina Securities Ltd (KSL) at K9.50 and K2.60 closing flat respectively. Followed by Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) at 1.78 unchanged with a better than expected trading average of 328,708 shares traded.
The Day’s trading recorded a substantial volume of 341,391 units with a monetary value of K701,827.07.
In the U.S markets, the Dow notched its 40th record close of the year with the broader stock market gaining as the DJIA rose 63.01 points or 0.3% to finish at 22,331.35 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average surged to hit its highest close in the Nikkei advanced 389.88 points or 1.96% to end at 20,299.38 points. The Australian market rose with broad-based gains after the release of minutes of the Reserve Bank of Australia’s September 5 monetary policy meeting. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index added 19.30 points or 0.34% to 5,739.90 points.
