Tuesday’s POMSOX trading session closed on the red as both stock indices declined. The Kina Securities main index KSi fell 0.03 points to 4,983.11 points and the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi slipped 0.98 points or 0.01% to 11,001.75 points.
Portfolio management stock Kina Asset Management Ltd (KAM) closed a toea lower to end at 95toea.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and mining giant Newcrest Mining Ltd (NCM) both evened out at K9.55 and K50.00 flat respectively.
In additional news, Kina Asset Management Ltd (KAM) advised of its Net Tangible Asset (NTA) of K1.22 per share as of July 2017 today.
The day’s trading recorded a thin volume of 3,504 shares worth K16,034.80.
In the U.S markets, war didn’t break out with North Korea over the weekend, so stocks had a brief relief rally in overnight trading. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 135.00 points or 0.62% , breaking through to 22,000 points. Japanese stocks rebounded sharply and moved away from a three-month low hit on the previous day after ease in tension between the U.S and North Korea. The Nikkei share average surged 254.67 points or 1.30% to 19,791.77 points. The Australian stock market extended gains from the precious session as the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 rose 42.60 points or 0.74% to 5,773.00 points.
