Tuesday’s POMSOX session was rather quiet with one stock index declining. The Kina Securities main index KSi fell by a mere 0.33 points or 0.01% 4,891.42 points and meanwhile the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was maintained at 11,076.55 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) slipped by a toea, ending lower at K9.50.
NGP Agmark Ltd (NGP) however, was unchanged at 60toea flat.
A thin volume of 8,283 shares were transacted at the value of K25,288.50
U.S share market finished a little changed despite the Dow Jones and Nasdaq reaching new intra-day highs, after falls in materials offset rises in energy shares. The DJIA closed at 5.34 points higher or 0.03% at 21,012.28 points. The Australian stock market declined following flat cues overnight from Wall Street and weakness in bank shares after Commonwealth Bank reported third-quarter earnings results. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 lost 26.90 points or 0.46% to 5,844.00 points. Japanese stocks edged down as the market was out of steam after rallying to a 17-month high on Monday with the Nikkei share average losing 0.26% or 52.70 points to 19,843.00 points.
