KSi Daily Report: Tuesday, 07 February 2017
The POMSOX session closed flat amid thin trading as both stock indices maintained on Tuesday’s session. The Kina Securities main index KSi was steady at 4,816.73 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was unmoved at 10,675.09 points.
All stocks traded today closed unchanged.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) were both evened out at K9.00 and K1.95 flat respectively. Followed by Oil Search Ltd at K17.50 at the close.
The day’s transaction registered a light volume of 5,084 shares valued at K41,083.55.
Wall Street closed lower in overnight trading snapping a three-day winning streak after mixed earnings. The Dow Jones Industrial fell 19.04 points to end at 20,052.42 points. Japanese stocks dropped to a two-week low in thin trade, hit by weakness in global stocks and a stronger yen as investors became risk averse. The Nikkei share average slipped 65.93 points or 0.35% to 18,910.78 points. The Australian stock market is declining on Tuesday, extending losses from the previous session, following the negative lead overnight from Wall Street as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark was down 27.70 points or 0.49% to 5,587.90 points.
