KSi Daily Report: Thursday, 9 November 2017
Kina Securities main Stock index, the KSi, was weaker on Thursday after losing 9.68 points (-0.18%) to 5,288.40 points. However, the Home index, or the KSHi, remained unmoved at 11,047.53 points.
There was a single loss registered on POMSoX today.
Oil Search Ltd (OSH), the oil and gas stock was down 9toea to K17.81 today.
Stocks traded unchanged were led by the financials in terms of trading value, Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) at K1.78 flat, followed by Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) which ended at K9.51.
The day’s trading session registered a volume of 5,604 shares at a value of K41,177.88.
U.S. stocks booked slight gains on Wednesday, allowing the main equity benchmarks to creep further into record territory as investors awaited updates on efforts to pass tax reform. The Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, +0.03% which rung up a fresh all-time closing high on Tuesday, finished up 6.13 points, or less than 0.1%, at 23,563.36 points. In Japan, The Nikkei jumped was down 45.11 points or 0.20% to 22,868.71 points. Australian shares are stronger once again, with the benchmark extending gains beyond the key 6,000 mark as miners & bankers advance. The S&P/ASX 200 index rose another 33.10 points or 0.55% at 6,049.40 points.
