KSi Daily Report: Thursday, 21 December 2017
POMSOX trading was quiet for Thursday with the Kina Securities Index KSi steady at 5,466.85 points. Likewise, the home index KSHi was also unchanged at 10,917.38 points.
There were three stocks that transacted today all unchanged.
Oil and Gas stock Kina Petroleum Limited (KPL) closed 40 toea flat. Followed by Banking and finance stock Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) completing at K9.50 flat. Meanwhile another financial stock Kina Asset Management Ltd (KAM) closed even at 95 toea.
Share units traded were 19,104 at a value of K98,853.90.
In markets abroad, U.S stocks ended the overnight session as Congress passed a sweeping tax overhaul. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 28.10 points or 0.11% to 24,726.65 points. The Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei share average slipped 25.62 points or 0.11% at 22,866.10 points on Thursday, taking its cue from losses on Wall Street, with weakness seen in retail and real estate sectors. There was yet another plunge in the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 causing a decrease of 15.20 points or 0.25% to 6,060.40 points.
