KSi Daily Report: Thursday, 11 May 2017
Thursday’s POMSOX trading session was rather quiet as both stock indices closed unchanged. The Kina Securities main index KSi was steady at 5,095.52 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi evened out at 11,066.69 points.
There were no trades registered today.
In U.S markets, Nasdaq closed at a record for a fourth session as the Dow industrials slipped lower as the firing of FBI director Corney raised questions about Trump’s ability to gain consensus to implement his policies. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 32.67 points or 0.2% to finish at 20,943.11 points. Japanese stocks were flat in choppy trade as optimism from the weakening yen offset mixed performances in overnight U.S shares. The Nikkei share average rose 75.29 points or 0.38% at 19,975.38 points. The Australian market opened lower following weak lead from U.S market overnight. The S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index gained 35.50 points or 0.61% to 5,875.40 points.
