Thursday’s POMSOX session was unmoved for a third consecutive day amid a rather quiet trading session as both stock indices were maintained.
The Kina Securities Main index KSi was steady at 5,467.04 points followed by the Kina Securities Home Index (KSHi) unchanged at 10,890.73 points.
All three stocks traded today were unchanged.
Financial stocks Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) both evened out at K9.50 and K1.65 flat respectively.
Dual-listed banking and financial stock Kina Securities Ltd (KSL) was retained at K2.50 at the close.
The day’s trading recorded a thin volume of 2,092 shares worth K3,056.25.
In the markets abroad, U.S. stock-market indexes pushed further into record territory, Dow Jones Industrial average (DJIA) closed at a fresh all-time high at 98.67 points or 0.40 % to 24,922.68. Japanese stocks rallied on the first trading day of 2018 as the Nikkei share average collected 74.39 points or 3.26% to finish at its session high of 23,506.33. The Australian stock market pared early gains on Thursday after a strong start. The S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index rose for a second day, closing at 6, 077.10 points, up by 6.7 points or 0.1%.
