KSi Daily Report: Monday, 20 February 2017
Monday’s POMSOX trading session closed on a negative note as both stock indices edged lower. The Kina Securities Main index KSi fell 2.25 points or 0.05% to 4,817.04 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi slipped 39.40 points or 0.37% to end at 10,684.94 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) ended lower as the stock declined by 4toea to close at K9.01.
Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) and Oil Search Ltd (OSH) both closed unchanged at K1.95 and K17.50 flat respectively.
Total trades recorded a volume of 17,207 shares worth K183,605.55.
In markets abroad, U.S stocks added 4.28 points or 0.02% to finish at 20,624.05 points. Japanese shares fell for a third consecutive session as the yen’s gains and uncertainty about U.S economic policies prompted profit taking. The Nikkei share average rose 16.46 points or 0.09% to close at 19,251.08 points. Australian stocks declined dragged down by weaker metal prices and earnings concerns as the S&P/ASX 200 index fell 24.32 points or 0.4% to 5,781.50 points.
