KSi Daily Report: Monday, 18 September 2017

Both Kina Securities Indices were unchanged amid quiet trading on POMSoX Monday. The main index or KSi was steady at 5,199.86 points likewise the home index or KSHi was unmoved at 11,005.80 points at the close.
There were three key stocks traded however, all remained flat today.
For Monday’s session, Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) and Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) both traded steady at K1.78 & K9.50 respectively , while Oil Search Ltd (OSH) registered K17.00 even.
The day’s trading recorded a very light volume of 4,350 shares at a value of K51,8673.00
In Off-shore news, U.S. stock benchmarks finished in the green on Friday, posting sharp weekly gains, with a big assist from rallying telecommunication and bank shares as Wall Street shook off North Korea’s latest missile launch.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 64.86 points, to 0.29%, to close at 22,268.34 points, logging its fourth straight record close and its sixth consecutive day of gains. For the week, the blue-chip gauge booked a gain of 2.2%, marking its best weekly advance since the week ended Dec. 9. In Asia, The Japanese stock market was closed today in observance of Senior’s Day. Meanwhile, Australian shares market enjoyed a positive start to the week’s trade after Wall St cracked new records on Friday, with the big banks and Macquarie leading the gains. The S&P/ASX 200 index was up 25.60 points or 0.45% at 5,720.60 points.
