KSi Daily Report: Monday, 14 August 2017
Monday’s POMSOX trading session was quiet as both Kina Securities stock indices remained unchanged. The Kina Securities main index KSi was maintained at 4,983.14 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home index, KSHi was steady at 11,002.73 points.
There were no trades registered today.
In overseas news, U.S. stocks closed higher on Friday as Wall Street clawed back from a sharp decline in the previous session but the market still posted a weekly loss on lingering geopolitical uncertainties. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 14.31 points to close 21,858.32 points. In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei share average tumbled lower at 19,520.99 points after declining 185.26 points or 0.94% on Monday, recoiling in response to a stronger yen. Meanwhile, Australian Shares staged a broad recovery from Friday’s steep sell-off as The S&P/ASX 200 index added 0.65 per cent per cent to 5730.4, with buying in the major banks driving the gains.
