One stock index gained while another maintained on Monday’s POMSOX trading session amid moderate trading. The Kina Securities main index KSi advanced 161.75 points or 3.35% to 4,989.04 points. The Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was unmoved at 11116.69 points.
One stock gained while another declined.
Mining giant Newcrest Mining Ltd (NCM) rose by K4.00 to end at K50.00.
On the downside, Oil Search Ltd (OSH) fell by a toea to close lower at K17.50. BSP unsecured notes for BSPHA slipped by K100.00 to finish at K25,500.00.
Other stocks traded unchanged included Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) both evened out at K9.55 and K1.78.
Agmark NGIP Limited (NGP) also closed unchanged at 80toea.
The day’s session transacted a volume of 11,767 units worth K607,475.26.
U.S stocks finished higher on the back of a rebound in tech stocks as the Dow Jones Industrial average collecting 17.00 points or 0.08% to 21,387.00 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average rose 151.89 points or 0.76% to end at 20,080.98 points. The Australian stock market rebounded following the positive cues from Wall Street as weak commodity prices weighed on resources stocks with banks among the leading gainers. The S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index added 22.30 points or 0.39% to 5,725.90 points.
