KSi Daily Report: Monday, 10 April 2017
One stock index rose while another maintained on Monday’s POMSOX trading session. The Kina Securities main index surged 126.41 points or 2.31% to end at a high of 5,589.42 points. The Kina Securities home index KSHi was steady at 11,011.35 points.
Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was the winning stock for the day, edging up K1.25 reflective of the stock’s ASX price movement.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) were both evened out at K9.41 and K1.85 flat respectively. Newcrest Mining Ltd (NCM) was unmoved at K46.00.
A thin volume of 2,439 shares were registered at a price of K25,663.28.
U.S stocks closed fractionally lower after staggering through a choppy session as investors digested Trump’s airstrike against Syria. The Dow Jones Industrial gained 29.00 points or 0.14% to 20,628.00 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average rose as financials outperformed on rising U.S yields, gaining 133.25 points or 0.71% at 18,797.88 points. Australian stock market rose despite modest losses on Wall Street following weaker than expected U.S jobs data as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index added 29.10 points or 0.50% to 5,896.40 points.
