KSi Daily Report: Monday, 03 April 2017
The first trading day of April closed unchanged as both stock indices were maintained on Monday’s POMSOX trading session. The Kina Securities main index KSi was steady at 5,491.00 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was maintained at 11,069.10 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock traded with 1,203 shares worth K11,308.20, ending unmoved at K9.40.
U.S stocks closed lower after financials weighed heavily despite the market’s most recent quarterly performance showing solid gains. The Dow Jones Industrial slipped 65.27 points or 0.31% at 20,663.22 points. Japanese stocks edged up through were some distance from recouping sharp losses with an update BOJ survey failing to overcome worries about the outlook for exporters. The Nikkei gained 73.97 points or 0.39% to 18,983.23 points. The Australian market broke its winning streak after a heavy sell-off as most sectors experienced negative results. The S&P/ASX 200 fell 31.30 points or 0.53% to 5,864.90 points.
