KSi Daily Report: Friday, 10 March 2017

Friday’s POMSOX trading session saw one stock gaining amid thin trading. The Kina Securities main index KSi was up 41.96 points or 0.87% to 4,873.68 points. Meanwhile, the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was unchanged at 10,970.68 points.
Oil Search Ltd (OSH) rose, adding 30toea to finish high at K17.85.
Meanwhile, Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) was the only other stock unmoved at K1.95.
Today’s session recorded a total of 3,187 shares worth K7,995.45.
U.S stocks eked out gains Thursday on the back of a rebound in energy shares as the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 2.46 points to close at 20,858.19 points. Japanese stocks rose to a one-week high as exporters benefited from the dollar hitting six-week highs against the yen. Japanese Nikkei share average advanced 286.03 points or 1.48% to 19,604.61 points. The Australian stock market rose following the small gains on Wall Street and despite lower commodity prices. The S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index added 23.00 points or 0.41% to 5,764.60 points.
