KSi Daily Report: Wednesday, 5 February 2014

The Kina Securities main stock index, the KSi, closed marginally higher today as a junior cap miner recouped. The index ended up 1.29 points or 0.03% to 3,872.69 points. Meanwhile, the home index or the KSHi remained steady at the same level of 8,205.06 point.

Only one stock gained with no loss for today.

Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) recovered 1 toea to end at 15toea.

Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) traded unchanged at K2.60 supported by the company’s ongoing share back plan.

A total volume of 71,833 units were traded worth of K59,774.95 for the POMSOX session.

In U.S, stocks closed with modest gains overnight, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average rising 72.44 points, or 0.5% to 15,445.24 points clawing back a fraction of their worst losses since June made a day earlier. In Japan, The Nikkei share average climbed 171.91 points or 1.23% at 14,180.38 points on Wednesday, following strong earnings results from Panasonic and Toyota. The Australian share market closed lower today , its third straight day in the red with the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index down by 26.80 points, or 0.53% at 5,070.30 points.
