KSi Daily Report: Wednesday, 24 June 2015

POMSoX stocks closed Wednesday’s trading session on a quiet note as only two stocks traded flat on thin volume. The Kina Securities Main Index or the KSi was undisturbed at 3,555.18 points. Likewise, the Home index, the KSHi was stable at 9,758.40 points.

Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was traded at K7.44 and Oil Search Limited (OSH) at K16.00 unchanged, as the duel listed oil and gas stock also ended flat on the ASX at $7.50.

The day’s trading registered low volume of 20,969 shares at a value of K157,028.00
U.S. stocks ended an overnight choppy session slightly higher by optimism about a possible solution to Greece’s debt woes. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 24.76 points, or 0.1%, to 18,144.54. In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei share average rose 98.43 points or 0.47% to 20,910.885 points for Wednesday’s trading, highest level since 1996 on a pickup in economic growth and hopes on Greece. The Australian shares closed slightly higher after global rallies. By close of market today the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 11.90 points, or 0.21% to 5,696.20 points.
