POMSoX trading was quiet as only two stocks were traded for Wednesday’s session. The Kina Securities main index, the KSi, was flat at 3,484.84 points. The same went to the KSHi, the Home index, which ended at 9,663.10 unchanged.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) & Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) traded unchanged as the two financial holding companies finished at K7.44 and K2.40 respectively. Both stocks recorded a combined volume of 2,942 units worth K11,173.44.
Kina Securities is not traded today and remains at K2.60. IN ASX, the stock closed at $12.13, down 2c with trading volume of near half million units.
U.S. stocks closed slightly lower in overnight trading as investors grappled with mixed earnings reports and a selloff in the health-care sector. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 13.43 points or 0.1% to 17,217.11 points. However, Japanese stocks rose on Wednesday as investors shrugged off weak trade data on expectations that the Bank of Japan may undertake further easing at its policy meeting on October 30. The Nikkei share average gained 347.13 points or 1.90% to close at 18,554.28 points. IN Australia, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 12.70 point or 0.24% higher at 5,248.30 points as shares closed higher with gains by the miners today.
