KSi Daily Report: Wednesday, 2 April 2014

The Kina securities Indices gave up previous gains by a Key bank stock that fell again during Wednesday’s session on POMSoX. The Main Index or KSi declined 0.61 points (-0.02%) at 3,626.62 points. The home index or KSHi fell 10.64 points (-0.29%) to 8,132.38 points.

Today’s session was quiet, recording one loss verses nil gains.

Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) declined 2 toea to close at K7.78 transacting only 11 shares by close of market.

Meanwhile, Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was the only stock traded unmoved for the session at K17.64 with an intraday high of K17.65.

Wednesday’s session recorded total of 1,245 units worth kina value of K21,853.34.

On markets abroad, U.S stocks ended sharply higher on April Fool Day as investors bid up prices after data showed increase in U.S manufacturing. The Dow Average advanced 74.95 points or 0.46% to finish at 16,532.61. Asian stocks rose for the sixth day as U.S manufacturing expands with Japan’s Nikkei Share Average surging 154 points or 1.04% to end at 14,946 points. Australian shares closed slightly higher finishing just above 5,400 mark as iron price lifted. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index rose 14.13 points or 0.26% to end at 5,403.30 today.
