KSi Daily Report: Wednesday, 16 July 2014

Kina Securities Stock indices were steady after POMSoX closed Wednesday. The main index KSi remained undisturbed at 3,753.11 points while the Home index KSHi was stable at 8,332.05 points.

All stocks that traded on POMSoX for the day ended even.

Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) closed at K7.25, followed by City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) and Credit corporation Ltd (CCP) unmoved at K1.75 and K2.70 respectively. Kina Asset Management Ltd (KAM) completed flat at K1.05 in a considerable volume of shares.

Today’s session recorded a total of 99,986 shares valued at K151,743.60.

In the US stock Market, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended the day 5.26 points (+0.03%) higher at 17,060.75, a new record peak despite sharp declines in momentum stocks after the Federal Reserve suggested valuations on biotech and Internet stocks may be stretched. Japan’s Nikkei share average was down 15.86 points (0.10%) at 15,379.30 points on Wednesday as investors stayed cautious ahead of China economic data. Australian shares are flat as weakness in banking stocks offsets gains in other sectors. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 0.7 points, or 0.01 per cent, higher at 5,5120 points by close of market today.
