Both Kina Securities stock indices closed negatively at the close of POMSOX trading on Wednesday. The Kina Securities main index or KSi was 0.09 points lower to 3,405 points. Likewise, the Kina Securities Home Index, KSHi was 2.63 points or 0.03% to 9,457.54 points.

Pharmaceutical retail stock City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) was the only stock traded today closing 2toea lower to end at K1.33. The total shares registered were 1,503 units valued at K1,998.99.

U.S stock indexes recorded a second session of gains ahead of a long anticipated meeting of the Federal Reserve’s interest-rate setting committee. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 156.41 points or 0.90% to 17,524.91 points. Japanese stocks rebounded with sentiment helped by broad gains on Wall Street and a second straight day of rising oil prices. The Nikkei share average advanced 453.88 points or 2.44% to 19,019.78 points. The Australian share market has risen by more than two per cent, breaking a six-day losing streak as investors snapped up bargains. S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index rose 118.84 points or 2.42% to 5,028.40 points.
