Activity was thin and the Kina Securities Indices unchanged after POMSoX ended trading today. The main index KSi maintained at 3,561.87 points and the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi stayed at 9,607.92 points.
There were only two stocks traded, both ended flat today.
A leading financial stock in terms of market capitalization Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) closed at K7.50 while a dual-listed mining stock Newcrest Mining Ltd (NCM) evened out at K25.00.
The day’s trading registered a total units of 10,829 at a monetary value of K82,792.50.
U.S stock market indexes closed lower for a second-straight day Tuesday, as American stocks were dogged by a rout in crude-oil prices. The DJIA closed 58 points or 0.33% at 17,592.00 points. Japanese stocks fell to its lowest in more than three weeks on Wednesday on concerns over sliding oil prices. The Nikkei share average slumped 191.53 points or 0.98% to 19,301.07 points. The Australian shares traded lower, under pressure from continuing commodities rout and weaker US markets. The Benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 fell 28.15 points or 0.55% to 5,080.45 points on ASX’s close today.
