KSi Daily Report: Tuesday, 4 March 2014

POMSoX stocks remained unchanged for the third consecutive session with both Kina Securities indices staying flat again at the close of market today. The main index or KSi was steady at 3,613.98 points. Likewise the home index or KSHi stationed at 8,076.41 points.

Only two stocks traded today, accompanied by a debt stock, with all ended even.

City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) completed at K1.95 with a substantial trading volume and NGIP Agmark Ltd (NGP) closed at 80 toea.

Meanwhile, BSP unsecured Notes (BSPHA) traded even at K28,000.00.

Tuesday’s session recorded a total of 171,775 shares with a monetary value of K 354,005.40.

In overseas news, the U.S. stock market fell sharply in overnight trading as political tensions between Ukraine and Russia over the Crimean peninsula pushed investors to move into defensive trading. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was down as much as 250 points at session lows, but ended the day with 153.68 points, or 0.9%, lower at 16,168.03. Meanwhile, In Aisa, however, stocks were mixed on hopes of peaceful Ukraine solution. In Australia, the ASX was led higher by the major banks with the S&P/ASX200 index adding 15.90 points or 0.3% at 5,400.2 points.
