KSi Daily Report: Tuesday, 25 November 2014

POMSoX suffered losses on Tuesday as two out of four stocks that traded fell during the session. The Kina Securities Stock Index or the KSi eased 2.90 points (-0.08%) to 3,623.00 points likewise the Home index, or the KSHi dropped 37.26 points (-0.39%) at 9,442.86 points.

Two stocks fell while none gained on POMSoX today.

Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) a junior cap mining stock moved into negative territory giving away 1toea to close at 6 toea while Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) declined 7 toea at K7.12. The negative movements on both stocks had weighted down on both indices at the close.

Unmoved stocks were led by Oil Search Ltd (OSH) at K17.50 flat followed closely by Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) at K2.55 even

The Tuesday’s session registered a combined volume of 110,302 shares at a value of K176,410.70.

In markets abroad, U.S stocks headed for records highs in overnight trading as the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 7.84 points or 0.04% to 17,817.90 points with inspired confidence in from the central banks in the global economy. Asian stocks advanced for a third day as Japanese stocks rallied after a holiday. The Nikkei share average climbed 50 points or 0.29% to 17,408 points. Australian shares edged lower, closing flat after posting the biggest single session gain in more than a month. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 shed 27.02 points or 0.50% to 5,334.78 points.
