Tuesday’s POMSOX trading was quiet as only two stocks traded but stayed unchanged for the session. the Kina Securities Main Index KSi remained at 3,555.21 points while the Kina Securities Home Index ended at 9,759.21 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Oil Search Ltd (OSH) were the only stocks traded at K7.40 and K16.00 flat respectively.
A total of 963 units valued at K9,147.20 were traded today.
In overseas news, U.S stocks eked out modest gains on Monday after the release of economic data as the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 29.69 points or 0.16% to 18,040.37 points. However, in Asian markets the Nikkei ended its longest winning streak as market was cautioned against recent rises. The Nikkei share average declined 22.19 points or 0.11% to 20,547.68 points. Similarly, the Australian shares dropped sharply with losses across all sectors as falling iron ore prices about China’s economy. The benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 fell 83.60 points or 1.46% to 5,651.80 points.
