KSi Daily Report: Tuesday, 16 February 2016

Both Kina Securities stock indices remained unchanged amid thin POMSOX trading session on Tuesday. The main index KSI stayed at 3,349.74 points. Similarly, the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi remained steady at 9,310.74 points.

Two stocks traded today both ended unchanged.

Financial stocks Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) evened out at K7.45 and K2.05 respectively.

Kina Securities was not traded on POMSOX today, and remained at K2.40 while it closed at $0.99c on ASX, up 0.2c.

Tuesday’s POMSOX trades recorded a total volume of 1,965 shares with monetary value of K12,268.65.

U.S markets were closed on Monday in commemoration of Presidents Day. Japan’s Nikkei share average rose in choppy trade on Tuesday after posting a sharp rebound the previous day, With Softbank Group Corp leading gains after investors took heart from its share buyback announcement. The Nikkei was up 161.44 points or 1.01% to 16,184.02 points. The Australian share market finished almost 1.5 per cent higher, buoyed by energy and materials stocks. The benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 rose 66.54 points or 1.37% 4,910.00 points.
