Tuesday’s POMSOX trading session was unchanged amid quiet trading as both Kina Securities stock indices maintained. The Kina Securities main index or KSi was steady at 4,711.41 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was unmoved at 10,054.59 points.
Leading banking and financial stock Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock traded closing unchanged at K8.50. The stock recorded a volume of 694 shares worth K5,899.00.
In markets abroad, U.S stocks closed at record highs with a rise in oil prices boosting energy and material stocks. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 59.58 points or 0.32% to 18,363.05 points. The financial sector dragged down the Australian stock market amid a quiet trading session. The benchmark ASX/S&P 200 was down 8.5points or 0.16% to 5,531.40 points. Japan’s Nikkei dropped to more than one week low on Tuesday as selling accelerated on strong yen. The Nikkei slumped 273.05 points or 1.62% to 16,596.51 points.
