Both stock indices closed positively higher on Tuesday’s POMSOX trading session. The Kina Securities main index or KSi added 1.29 points or 0.03% to 4,815.36 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi rose 6.67 points or 0.06% to 10,631.93 points.
All three stocks traded today gained versus nil losses.
Kina Securities Ltd (KSL) rose 10toea to end at K2.70, followed by Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) which added a toea at K1.90 to close at K1.90. Bank South Pacific Unsecured Notes (BSPHA) gained K1,500.00 to end higher at K26,500.
The day’s session recorded a total of 50,871 shares worth K161,953.00.
U.S stocks gained in overnight trading as the Dow Jones Industrial Average edged up 32.00 points or 0.16% to 19,755.00. Japan’s Nikkei share average rose with a five-day winning streak as investors waited for the Fed’s meeting to later in the day as the Nikkei rose 95.49 points or 0.5% to 19,134.73 points. The Australian stock market edged lower following mixed cues overnight from Wall Street and on ahead of the Fed’s monetary policy meeting. The benchmark S&P/SX 200 declined 4.40 points or 0.08% to 5,558.40 points.
