KSi Daily Report: Tuesday 10 June, 2014

POMSoX returned today from a holiday-extended weekend, and closed unchanged amid a quiet trading session. The main index or KSi was steady at 3,686.61 points while the home index or KSHi remained at 7,972.99 points at the close.

The was only one stock that traded for Monday’s session and remained flat.

The leading financial institution, Bank South Pacific (BSP) traded at K7.50 with 30,055 units traded worth K225,412.50

In markets abroad, The U.S. stock market ended an overnight choppy trading session slightly higher, The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 18.82 points or 0.11% to 16,943.10 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average fell
to a one-week low on Tuesday investors took profits after the weak yen trend paused. The Nikkei shed 129.20 points or 0.85% to 14,994.80 points, the lowest
closing since June 2. Meanwhile, Australian shares gained, buoyed mostly by banking shares after boost of confidence from Europe. The benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 rose 5.70 points or 0.10% to 5,466,90 points.
