KSi Daily Report: Thursday, 6 March 2014

Both Kina Securities stock indices stayed unchanged on POMSoX Thursday with only three stocks that traded flat. The main index or KSi was steady at 3,612.75 points, likewise, the home index or KSHi was at 8,024.59 points unmoved.

The financial-holding stock Credit Corporation (CCP) led the unchanged, closing at K2.60 with a large volume of 900,000 shares valued at K2,340,000.00. Meanwhile, Newcrest Mining Ltd (NCM) and New Britain Palm Oil Ltd (NBO) ended even at K25.00 and K14.50 respectively.

Today’s trading session registered a total volume of 900,193 shares valued at K2,343,544.00.

In overnight markets, the U.S. stocks finished in choppy trading generally lower with blue-chips falling the most, as investors reacted mildly to mostly disappointing economic reports. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 35.70 points, or 0.2%, to 16,360.18. Japan’s Nikkei share average was steady on Thursday before the release of U.S. jobs data on Friday. The Nikkei share average advanced 237.19 points or 1.59% at 15,134.82 points at the close of market today. The Australian stock market is virtually flat after strong retail and international trade figures offset a weak lead from Wall street as the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 0.30 points, or 0.15% at 5,437.90 points today.
