KSi Daily Report: Thursday, 26 March 2015

Both Kina Securities stock indices gained grounds to close high amid quiet trading on POMSOX trading Thursday. The positive change was attributed by a home-listed stock that advanced. The main index KSi rose 0.29% to 3,553.77 Likewise the Home index KSHi rose 5.31 points or 0.05% to 9,749.45 points.

The leading financial stock Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock that traded today. The stock recorded trades of a volume of 42,658 shares valued at K313,962.88, ending at K7.36, up a toea.

U.S stocks closed lower in overnight trading after weaker-than-expected data. The Dow Jones Industrial sliced 292.60 points or 1.62% 17,718.54 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average dropped on Thursday as investors sold on overnight New York weakness. The Nikkei slumped 275.08 points or 1.39% to 19,471.12 points. The Australian share market also ended lower with the banking sector suffering after heavy losses on Wall Street. The benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 fell 94.26 points or 1.58% to 5,879.06 points.
