Both Kina Securities stock indices closed flat for Thursday’s POMSOX trading session. The main index KSi was steady at 3,555.61 points and the home index KSHi remained at 9,772.09 points.
Three stocks that traded were unmoved.
Financials Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) both ended even at K7.40 and K2.60 respectively. Meanwhile Oil Search Ltd (OSH) traded at K16.00.
Thursday’s trading registered a total small trading volume of 3,181 units at a share worth of K18,330.20.
In New York, U.S stocks closed slightly higher Wednesday amid volatile trading following the release of Federal Reserve meeting minutes, favoring a June rate hike. The Dow Jones Industrial closed up 27.09 points or 0.15% to 17,902.51 points. Likewise, Japan’s Nikkei rose to a fresh 15-year high on U.S shares’ modest gains, raising hopes that foreigners will continue to buy Japanese stocks. The Nikkei share average rose 136.27 points or 0.69% to 19,926.08 points. The Australian local share market hovered well along the flat-line throughout the day with mixed results from all sectors. At the close, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 dipped 28.53 points or 0.48% to 5,932.20 points.
