Thursday’s POMSOX trading session was quiet as both stock indices were closed flat today. The Kina Securities main index or KSi was maintained at 4,746.83 points and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was steady at 10,733.62 points.
Home-listed financial stock Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) was the only stock traded for the day. The stock closed flat at K1.89 registering a volume of 5,884 worth K11,120.76.
In markets abroad, U.S shares finished lower on election uncertainty posting its seventh straight session in the red, its longest streak in five years. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped 77.46 points or 0.43% to 17,959.64 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average fell to a two-week low as worries over U.S election prompted a recoil in global markets, with a stronger yen adding to the cautious mood. The Nikkei slid 50 points or 0.29% to 17,050 points. The Australian market closed lower on the back of losses on Wall Street with mixed results from the sectors as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index fell 3.40 points or 0.07% to 5,225.60 points.
